This Year's Project: Confidence and Integrity

About Our Organization

The Buffalo Bill District of the Boy Scouts of America. The BSA has been changing lives since 1910, developing character and personal fitness in young people. An investment in the Overland Trails Council is an investment in the future of our communities and our nation. It is the mission of the Boy Scouts of America to teach young people to make ethical decisions throughout their lives based on the Scout Oath and Law.

Current Project: Confidence and Integrity

Scouting programs provide young individuals with engaging and adventurous opportunities to explore and understand our world. As they achieve various milestones, their self-assuredness, self-sufficiency, and inner sense of value grow. This newfound resilience empowers them to navigate life's formidable obstacles and make sound decisions.

These are challenging times. Scouting has and will continue to provide experiences that lead young people to make moral and ethical decisions throughout their lives. It prepares them to be leaders with integrity.  Scouts pledge to do their duty to God and Country, to help other people at all times and to remain physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.

Your gift helps provide the opportunity for growth in leadership, citizenship and personal fitness of young people in McCook and the surrounding communities. Since 1910 Scouting has been a part of the fabric of communities all across America.  The list of famous scouts is long and distinguished. It includes Astronauts, adventurers, senators and a president.  Almost any walk of life or vocation has benefited by the scouting program. Your contribution makes you a part of that legacy!
