This Year's Project: Meeting Local Needs
About Our Organization
Salvation Army is a benevolent organization that seeks to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of people in southwest Nebraska. The Salvation Army funds are used for emergency housing, assistance in paying rent, utilities, medications, dental needs, and fuel. The Salvation Army also hosts the Back to School Resource Fair every year connecting families to local resources in the area and providing school supplies to any child who has a need.
Current Project: Meeting Local Needs
The Salvation Army is an organization that assists individuals and families in our community by meeting basic needs in times of financial distress. From rent and utility assistance to working with the homeless to provide transportation to shelters, the Salvation Army is "doing the most good" to love people locally.
The Back to School Resource Fair is an annual event funded by the Salvation Army. This event gives backpacks and school supplies to children, kindergarten through 8th grade, who lack the funding to purchase for themselves.
